What is a Land Value Tax and how might it help alleviate the housing crisis?
Floyd Marinescu is our guest. He explains that a sufficiently high land value tax would:
Quickly bring down housing prices to 2018 levels;
Eliminate speculative incentives bidding up housing prices;
Encourage more construction;
Reduce mortgage debts; and much more.
A tax shift from income taxes to land value taxes would provide tax relief for most households.
